Luneau PM&M, Muscadet Garance 2022

Pierre Luneau and Monique Apin were both born into families with a long history of making wine. They established Domaine Luneau-Papin in 1993 in Le Landreau, a village in the heart of Muscadet country. The estate has been in existence since the early 18th century when it was already planted with Melon de Bourgogne, the Muscadet appellation's single varietal. Garance 2022 is a wonderful Muscadet Sur Lie, meaning that the juice is left on its lees (yeast) post-fermentation to add some great texture and a bit of weight to the wine. Supremely easy-drinking, Garance is medium-bodied with notes of peach, pear, nectarine and an invitingly persistent briochey-salty finish. A great wine to pair with simpler fish or chicken dishes.
